UFO Magazine

Describe your website.
We are the oldest, best, and most informative publication on the subject of UFOs, alien abductions, unidentified submerged objects, and even flying saucers. Our subscriptions are very popular and we try to publish every month, although we will wait for late-breaking paranormal news if necessary.
We also cover conspiracy stories that involve a government cover-up of retrieved alien technology from the Roswell and other crash sites.
Who is the target audience for your website?
We attract people who like to think for themselves rather than just accept the information given to them by mainstream media. Of course, if someone has seen a UFO or a strange light in the sky or had a paranormal experience, they find that our publication is the very best way to learn more about what they already know to be a fact. We are not alone! We are trying to get to the bottom of a really big, intriguing mystery.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
We have the best writers in the paranormal field working with us on a daily basis. We also have the best artists, the best cartoonists, and the most fun you can have while delving into a difficult and murky subject.
We also try to keep a good database of links to others in the field of ufology and the strange and the weird.
Tell us a story about this website.
I would also like to thank you for suggesting A2 as a website server, and for your wonderful designers. A shoutout to Sandvox Web Designs, 11 Mystics and Blueball, where I found a digital and tangible store that I just love: E-Junkie. Highly recommended.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
I'm using SWD Big Time Blue because it allowed me to create a nice layered banner. Also, many of the sub-page features are clean and pretty, especially the borders for pagelets and callouts. All the purchased designs come with nice instructions for learning how to insert snippets for further customizations.

What techniques did you use to build this website?
Since I'm building more than one site, I've begun to experiment with snippets what will allow three columns. On my UFO Mag site, I'm proud of my long banner that has two layers, and a trick I've used is to carefully space and name the sections I will use for the top menu so that it looks nice.
I use option-shift-asterisk to make bullets before each section title so that it all spaces properly.
