Sandvox Sites

The LogoMann intro talks briefly about my background and experience, and shows samples of recent work. I have three different packages for my cool custom logos. There are a handful of logo design websites out there. Most are "quick and dirty" art factories. Because of my long background in high-end graphic design (I've been a Creative Director in Hollywood and corporate America for over 20 years), my love of logos and my desire to give a wider audience access to me and my work, I decided to "put out my shingle" online. My goal is to provide great, affordable logo and identity design services to everyone from small business people to successful, thriving companies.

After having done an enormous amount of research on the competition, I've concluded that my cool custom logo design packages offer significant clear advantages. My prices are better. The value is through the roof. The artistic merit is second to none. And, unlike the other logo design shops out there, the client works directly with me. Even with Sandvox, building a complete, content-rich website is a bear. Knowing everything that is involved, it's one of the reasons I chose to start in Sandvox to begin with. Working with Sandvox is such a relief, because it saves so much time. Because of all the graphics, copy that had to be written, integration of PayPal and various scripts, and other chores, I estimate using Sandvox probably reduced the amount of time it took to get LogoMann up and running by 20-30%. Considering the project has been "in the works" for about two months now (on and off), I'd say that Sandvox clearly saved me days... if not weeks!

After agonizing over a number of different approaches, I chose a design that I felt was contemporary looking, would not detract from my message and art and that was slightly blog/Web 2.0-ish.

Because of the size limitations of graphics, I had to create some work-arounds in order to get full column-width graphics on my order page. I wanted an element that spanned the entire column. So what I had to do was create slices that, when butted together, filled the line and fooled the eye.

On my order page, I wanted to use a countdown lockout timer, which involved adding scripts.
