Describe your website.
Providing entertainment and recognition to the youth football athletes of Kerman, CA. Although no current videos are on the website as yet, (the 2011 season has yet to begin), there is one video from 2010 on the Week One Mighty Mite page.
Who is the target audience for your website?
My websites are not seeking world attention. They provide information and entertainment to friends and family in my local area.
Tell us a story about this website.
Perhaps the best moment I have experienced since providing the website with Hi-Light videos of our Youth Football games came last year. Before the senior game I saw one of the young senior athletes entering the stadium and jokingly commented to him, "Joel, do something spectacular tonight for the Hi-Light Video." In the 4th quarter Joel made an incredible over the shoulder catch for the go ahead, and winning, TD. Immediately following the catch he looked up to me in the announcers booth, where I was filming, and pointed at the camera. In other words, "That's for you Jimmy". Last night, a year after this event, he saw me at practice, (Joel is now playing in High School), and asked if I would be filming any High School games. Sadly I had to reply that I would not. I did, however, tell him that for this upcoming season his catch would featured in the preview video I'm creating for 2011. He smiled.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
Kerman Youth Football's color's are red and black. I had to stay true to their color scheme. "SmoothDark" best afforded me this option.
What techniques did you use to build this website?
Surprisingly, many of the objects I had created in iWeb could be pasted into my Sandvox sites.
