Describe your website.
My website has several sections. The first section, furniture & joinery, describes and illustrates different pieces I have made: ladderback chairs, windsor chairs, tables, desks, chests, music stands and other miscellaneous pieces like clocks, entrance gates and a globe. The next section describes different bookbinding tools that I make - for example, the lying press, finishing presses, a sewing frame and pressing and backing boards.
There is a short description of beeswax polishes that we make and woodworking classes ; finally a journal or blog, where I try to describe my daily life as a working craftsman
Who is the target audience for your website?
People interested in having custom furniture designed and made, and very importantly, people looking for finely made wooden bookbinding equipment.
What is the advantage of your website over others?
I hope that they would be impressed by the quality of my work, and the very varied nature of my designs.
In the case of the bookbinding equipment, there are very few makers and suppliers of high quality traditional tools and equipment.
Why did you use this Sandvox design?
The smooth black seems to be a good choice for sites using a lot of photographs - which I do. The images show well against the dark background.
