What kind of websites were you planning to build?

In this case, I was planning to build a new business website to promote the logo design part of my graphic and web design abilities. Sandvox was perfect for Version 1.0 of the website because it allowed me to get something very sharp-looking up and running fast. Somewhere down the road, when I get really ambitious, I'll probably replace the current site with a custom site. As an creative director and artist, I feel it's important to do that. But in the meantime and perhaps well into the future. I'm going to be more than happy with my Sandvox site because it allows me to focus on DOING BUSINESS, rather than building and maintaining a website!

How did you hear about Sandvox?

I discovered Sandvox while "searching for a better way." I used GoLive now DreamWeaver, for some projects, and I've used the "canned" website builders which are usually too simplistic and limiting. I figured there had to be a middle ground, a program that compromised between the extreme DIY of the more sophisticated and time consuming solutions, and the overly simple website wizards. Sandvox was the perfect solution!

What made you decide to get Sandvox?

Once I began playing with it, I realized that Sandvox was ideal for many of my needs. Much of the time, I find myself in a situation where I need to get a site up quickly. If I can bypass all the complications and decisions involved in a custom solution, it allows me to "get to the point" that much faster.

Once I'd played around with Sandvox for a while, I upgraded to Pro because I needed to take advantage of all the customization features.

Sandvox is great because it is so feature-rich and easy to use. It allows me to do nearly all the really cool Web 2.0 stuff I want to do without all the heartache.

I particularly love the one-button Publish feature. Talk about instant gratification! In other apps, doing an update is much more complicated. In Sandvox, you can see your site changes live on the web almost instantly. Nice!

Thought there are still times I have to go the fully custom approach to website building, I find that for many sites these days. Sandvox is simply the best overall solution!

Go Sandvox!

LogoMann -- Killer Logos At A Killer Price!

After agonizing over a number of different approaches, I chose a design that I felt was contemporary looking, would not detract from my message and art and that was slightly blog/Web 2.0-ish. [Read more]
