What kind of websites were you planning to build?
I wanted a central online presence for an origami group I am starting based out of Palm Springs, where people could find news, schedules, directions, member photos, and book reviews.
How did you hear about Sandvox?
I've heard about Sandvox through multiple Mac-related blogs.
What made you decide to get Sandvox?
Sandvox represents a sweet spot in the spectrum of flexibility and ease of website building. The ability to change the theme of the site, while maintaining the WYSIWYG interface was key. The fantastic user interface didn't hurt either.
Flux provides greater flexibility than Sandvox, but at the cost of repeating information manually across pages. It also requires at least some knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Coda, while a fantastic program, requires writing your own HTML and CSS, which is simply too labor intensive for many sites.
Now that you have Sandvox, what do you like about it?
I primarily enjoy the ease with which a new, relatively feature-rich website can be constructed. A good balance is struck between the ability to customize, simplicity of construction, and features--and it is a balance that seems to be unique to Sandvox.
What would be a good way to search for a program like Sandvox?
